Rugby
On the rugby development side the schools are on going with training for Sarawak Under 15 and under 18. Currently, these developments in Miri comes under the "Rugby Development Academy/Program" which is being enforced this year by Coach Senin, Coach Zakaria, Coach Bunyamin and Coach Tim Lian. RDP is a program to introduce rugby to schools and to select players for future generation.
With this development ongoing ,we currently have 80 young players who from time to time gets selected by MDRU to represent the city in and outside the country.We are currently conducting this programme in the following schools:
- SMK Lutong, Miri
- Sekolah Menegah Teknik, Miri
- Curtin University, Miri

Touch
Touch is a minimal contact sport enjoyed by people of all ages, male and female, body size and fitness levels. The game is relatively new to the general public in Miri. Keeping this in mind, we are always willing to give assistance to schools and institutions should you wish to introduce the game as a fun extra-curricular activity.
